I have wandered the inner world of my computer screen and found a few stories I thought I would share, and of course, keep you updated on why I left “that State of Affairs”.

I found a post or two or ten I enjoyed, maybe a little too much even. Some short, to the point and sweet. This post is right to the point. It’s a little ditty called: The Larry Craig Mess: May I touch your feet?

Then there was this post, addressing the question every woman must have on her mind today: Could your man be gay?

Neocon News reports on the safety of flying these days and has a lovely graphic that just fits the picture of the news of the day.

On a more serious note? Now what will ol’ Butch do? (Newly elected Gov. Butch Otter GOP). His staff reported to ABC News that they were”blindsided” by this. ABC news explains that should Senator Gag resign, it would be Butchie’s place to appoint a new Senator. He could appoint himself and then the Lt. Gov. would become the Gov. **Sound familiar? Didn’t that happen right after Dirk Kempthorne took the Prez and the First Lady to McCall? A hummingbird landed on Mrs. Bush’s hand while they were boating on the lake. Must have been some sort of sign to our God appointed and led Prez. The next thing you know: Dirk Kempthorne is our nations Sec. of the Interior. Would Butch do that? Naw…I don’t think so. He can get out of so much more in Ideeho than D.C. He has to be too much of a good boy (not Good ‘Ol Boy) in D.C.

The Good ‘Ol Boy is back home and I think he’s staying. City life’s hard on those poor cowboys, ya know.

Today on MSNBC Sen. Sam Brownback (R-KS) was asked to respond to the news that Senior Senator Gag was caught tapping toes with a cop. Here is the transcript of the interview:

QUESTION: Well, let me also ask you then about the scandal of today, at least, that came down last night involving Senator Larry Craig. He stepped down from his role in the Romney presidential campaign.

How big of a setback do you believe this is — Not only for Mr. Craig, but also, again, for the GOP?

BROWNBACK: Well, I want to see what the factual basis actually is. I read the news accounts this morning. I’ve been briefed on those. I want to see what the actual, factual setting of this is.

It is not good. There is a guilty plea involved in this. But I think we ought to look and see what the facts actually are and then build and move forward off of that.

QUESTION: What more than the police report facts are you waiting for?

Are you waiting to hear something more specific from Senator Craig?

BROWNBACK: I am. Larry’s a colleague. He is somebody that I know. I want to hear what he has to say. I want to read, if we can, more in depth on the police report and what the police say actually took place at this. I want to know: Why did he plead guilty if he did not feel like this was actually what took place; that there was lewd conduct that took place?

I want to hear the actual settings — and I think most Americans probably do — of this. This seems like a very odd thing that takes place. And so what is actually going on here?

Let’s see this develop some more and I think we should.

Oh!! I must have taken that out of context.

Just like the police did with Senator Gag. We also cannot forget, that in his live response today, he blamed The Idaho Statesman for conducting a witch hunt all these years. He said he was innocent and the most important thing of all:

“I am not Gay. I have never been Gay.”

Notice he avoids the term Bi-Sexual. Every Bi-sexual person I have ever met didn’t call themselves gay either. They believe they aren’t. Because: They aren’t.

They like to keep their cake and to eat it too. This way they get too. Sound familiar Senator?

I decided I best be writing over here at my house instead of at The Church to spare my poor NASCAR redneck reader’s the pain of reading about all the intelligence that comes out of I-DDDDDDuh-ho. I just can’t decide how I want to spell it today.

The second lunar eclipse of the year occurred this morning, making the moon appear larger and brighter than it has since 2000.
This particular Lunar Eclipse “The Red Moon” happens to symbolize the Dark coming out into the Light. How interesting the timing of this particular “coming out”.

When I moved from WA State to i-DUH-ho in 1997, I was shocked at the state of affairs in i-DUH-hoo’s Government and the apathy of i-DUH-ho’s citizens towards them, along with the lack of informed voting. Most of the voting population in the State are sheep. What tiny population of i-DUH-ho citizens that vote anyway.

i-DUH-ho’s famous, long term Sen. Larry Craig, it turns out, was arrested back in June (shhhh….keeeeeeeeeep it a secret, it was on the 11th), for hitting on a cop in a homosexual way in a public bathroom at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport He pled guilty Aug. 8 to misdemeanor disorderly conduct in Hennepin County District Court. He paid $575 in fines and fees. A 10-day jail sentence was suspended and Craig received one year’s unsupervised probation. One CBS affiliate even recreated the entire incident for our entertainment.

Now here’s what I am really pissed off about.

Larry Craig is one of the most staunch and outspoken opponents of Gay Rights in America. He is vehemently opposed to gay marriage. He once said that he supported civil unions but not marriage and then turned around and opposed even civil unions.

Larry Craig’s sexual orientation has been questioned for many years. I believe it’s like 25 years. On May 14th, the Idaho Statesman printed an interview with Senator Gag, I mean Craig, on this specific subject. The Gag interview was the culmination of a Statesman investigation that began after a blogger accused Craig of homosexual sex in October. You can read the actual police report re: the arrest here.

Larry Craig’s hypocrisy is what I am pissed about. He had the unmitigated gall, and the utter arrogance to show his “Look at me, I’m a Senator” card to that police officer and expect that to give him a privilege that no one else gets. He is now saying he should have consulted an attorney prior to pleading guilty. It all been taken out of context. Right. The Carpetbagger Report, a blog I had never read before, but will now, said it best of all so far:
” I realize the circumstances of the arrest must be humiliating for the senator, but fabricating a ridiculous defense only exacerbates the political problem here. Why did he rub his foot against the police officer’s? Because, he said, he “has a wide stance when going to the bathroom.” Why did he wave his hand repeatedly under the stall divider? Because he was reaching for a piece of paper (that did not apparently exist). Why did he plead guilty to criminal charges? Because he was in a hurry.

Michelle Malkin also had a word or two to say. (*chuckles…)

“Senator Craig? Why didn’t you talk to Omar? He’s an attorney and you sure know how to get “a-hold” of him. He would have kept your secret, and given you advise if you were innocent or guilty. I am sure you know another attorney or two, besides him. How stupid do you think we “Real People” are. The one’s that voted you into office. Yes, even those of us who have always voted against you. Don’t worry this will all pass…Bill Sali will take the “Coveted Stupid Legislators from Idaho Seat.”. Remember Helen and her “Black He-li-o-copters. Isn’t she ranching-hiding in the Nevada desert now?”

The biggest thing that rips my gut out, is I know his daughter and her children personally. I know the pain she has suffered through the years, due to the “rumors” about her father. For years, in her job as a supervisor, she had gay men and women she directly supervised. She is a wonderful person. She is kind, considerate, and often embarrassed by her father’s views and statement towards the gay community, as she had to go to work and deal with it. She could never get away form her father’s asshole stances. She saw people for who they are…human beings and treated all the same. She was one of the most trusted supervisors in the workplace. Thank God her last name isn’t the same as her father’s. Unfortunately, her brother’s is.

I am really mad at you, Senator Craig. The damage done to your wife Suzanne, your children and grandchildren, and the good people of Idaho is sinful. I don’t give a rip what your sexual orientation is. I do give a rip that you a hypocrite and pretend to be a man of faith as you hurt your family and lother’s as you have. Odd that you stepped down from Good LDS Man Mitt Romney’s campaign on Monday. Odd that Mitt Romney’s troops have removed your endorsement of him from YouTube. BUT…there is still one video out there. I wonder how long that will stay up.

I am sitting here listening to Senator Gag deny, live, his already pled guilty to charges on the radio.

He’s making me sick.

” I’m not gay. I never have been gay”

I believe you are not gay, Senator Gag. The proper term would be Bi-Sexual, I believe.

That’s just one of the reasons I no longer wish to live in i-DUH-ho.

You may wonder why the people who care about you feel as they do today. Even if you believe that you have much to offer, you may nonetheless sense that your gifts are minor when compared to all that which your loved ones have given you. Consider, though, that your relatives and friends likely care little about what you can offer in terms of presents or entertainment. They are likely more interested in the copious amount of support and understanding you have provided them through the years. You may still question your own worth today, but it is likely that those who care for you have no doubts regarding your level of devotion.

The devotion we show the people we care about is a gift we can present them with whether or not we have anything else to give. While loyalty are based in part on our actions, our loved ones can also simply feel the strength of our dedication in our emotions. When we are continually there for family and friends when they need us, they come to know they can depend on us for warmth and support. Devotion costs us nothing, yet nets us so much in terms of closeness and intimacy. It can be one of the most useful tools in our relationship arsenal because when we feel we helpless in the face of our loved ones’ pain, it empowers us to make a difference. The faithfulness you embody in your relationships today will cement the bonds that unite you and the important people in your life.

Well, to this blog again anyway. I am not making much headway with it, but bear with me, I will. I need to get around to all my reader’s that stopped reading me because I wasn’t writing here and let them know I am around and actually reading their blogs. Sheesh! What do I expect?

Happy Birthday Mom!! I love and miss you so much. I know you are happy in Heaven tho. We would have celebrated your 75th birthday today. I celebrated you today. I listened to a lot of Johnny Cash. I spent some time with my women Goddess friends, several that are your age right now when you passed on to the next life. It was nice. I cried, I smiled, I laughed and cried some more. They too had all lost their mothers and so we cried some together. I miss you so much. Thank you for coming and seeing me in my dreams sometime. I always feel uplifted when you do that. You are always so happy.

It will be great to reconnect with my On a Quest…readers and pals again without having to force them with my eternal NASCAR torture. I can manage this from one dash board and it’s so much easier!! Thank goodness. Although I do not have the creativity aspect with my template that I had at Blogger, I do love the fact that I no longer have issues posting, ever.I am slowly but surely learning to navigate here. It truly is WYSIWYG instead of pretend like at the “old building. I like that and don’t find myself having to edit near as much as I did over there so it is saving me a lot of time.

Hope you have all been well. We will be finished and settled in OR at the end of the week and I will never have to come to I-duh-ho unless I have to, or want to to see the grand-babies and my daughters. Yay! I dread every time we come back. The life of the canyon suits me well. SSSSSLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWW. Quiet. The rattlesnakes are worth it.

By the way, I just remembered I was going to run a search on a charm or symbol for snake repellent and protection. Better do it while I am thinking about it. I will let you know what I find.
